BR26 : Crooner from Nocturns

Today, I read Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro in the series of Faber and Faber. 

But I never saw him again. I heard a few months later, in the autumn, that Mr and Mrs Gardner got their divorcedーone of the waiters at the Florian read it somewhere and told me.

A man in Italy is at a caffee and sees a famous musician Mr Gardner, whose songs he would listen to as a child. The man talks to Mr Gardner and hears a certain plans of him.
